Campfire
The last day of camp is drawing to a close. You're sitting on the beach by the lake with all of camp, forming a semicircle around a crackling campfire. Though you are a few rows back, you can still feel a bit of heat from the flames. Around you are your friends, people who you truly feel yourself with. You can hear them chatting amongst themselves, and occasionally laughing at something someone has said, but you decide not to speak. Rather, you soak up the moment. You take in the sound of your friends around you, of the fire, the lake gently lapping at the shore, and the sounds of the night. This moment won't last forever, but you wish it could.
